Deck the Nursery

a>

While all of you were decorating your tree and home for the holidays, I chose to go lite on decking our halls and instead focused on a more permanent form of decor - Ruby's nursery! Although I was sad to have to choose between the two, and kicking myself for starting a painting project this late in my pregnancy...like always, the finished product made it all worthwhile. Yahoo - it's done!

Can a nursery get any more "Ruby-like"?

Adorable! The ric rac boarder turned out super-cute! Great Job. I saw you used the little red basket I found in the bathroom. Everything looks perfect to welcome Ruby into her home. I can't wait!
PS Good call on the tree. Mine's dead.

Becca,
You totally crack me up! You have had the tree for a long time:) - doesn't the blog party seem eons ago?
And yes, I loved the little red baskets:)

Seriously so cute! What a wonderful room to welcome Ruby to. I love your decorating style.

I'll bet you can't wait, huh?

I'm speechless Stefanie. Really, speechless.

Ok, well, my words will not do it justice, but that is simply amazing! Beautiful. Ric rac is one of my favorite things in the whole wide world, and red has been my absolute favorite color for as long as I can remember. You did such an incredible job! I love every single little detail!

And I love your comment on Jill's blog about being behind on comments. It made me feel good, because I am SO behind. I still read everyone's blog, but just don't have time to always comment. As you can see, the only way I could check in on blogland tonight was if I stayed up late. I'm going to pay for it in the morning. Oh well, seeing your nursery was worth it!

Oh Stefanie,
This is so beautiful. I love how adding the twin bed worked out! I bet you'll be glad to have a place to crash during late night feedings too! I guess I'll get a better look tonight but wow! is all I can say. Jill
Ditto on Liz's love of ric rac.

Gorgeous! You must have been busy the past week...not that you're not busy usually. We're doing fine. Sunny's visit is going well, and fast. We've been shopping crazily the past three days and are now awaiting Uncle Randy, Aunt Jeanne, and Grandma Clanton. Ed arrives Sunday. Will call you Christmas...

Aww Stef!! It's just beautiful, and Ruby is such a lucky girl to have such a talented mama, what a perfect nursery for your new little one. I'm all teary from looking at those pics, and it's moments like these where I'm a little sad that I'm done having babies.....I just have to keep reminding myself I'm happy with two, and already in over my head with the angels I have :) Congratulations again, and try to take it easy now, woman! You are sure to go into labor Christmas Eve unless you take a breather! Have a wonderful Christmas, Stef- and give everyone hugs from me.
Love, Charity

We just finished some wrapping too. I love the nursery pics--did you make those wall pictures with fabric? I love them. Ruby is such a lucky girl to have such a sweet room.

Thanks for a fun time the other day at Mom's group. ~Shannon

Oh my goodness. So much talent in one little person. You are so awesome. We are getting so close to being done with our pregnancy's and these little one's will enter the world. My date is the 9th, so I'm 6days behind you. Good luck to you. Enjoy your Christmas before the real craziness starts. God Bless you and your family.

Ric rac! That's it. Thanks, Becca. All I could come up with when I was admiring it was "ricky-ticky-tavvy". So, on that note, I love Ruby's ricky-ticky-tavvy...not to mention those adorable ruby slippers. Beautiful!
