Happy Easter

To all of us mommies:

The day before Easter means (or some version of this):

Last minute shoe shopping for kids.

Washing white sweaters that were handed down but have a little stain on them.

Sewing a shoulder strap that has come undone.

Boiling eggs to dye later.

Preparing a Sunday School lesson that is extra special for the next morning.

Reviewing a recipe to make special Easter cookies that tell the story and will bake all night and turn out hollow inside the next morning.

Stuffing plastic eggs with candy for the big egg hunt with cousins tomorrow.

Renting the new Easter Veggie Tales movie.

Buying fresh flowers for the kids to put in the Easter Cross tomorrow during worship songs.

Readying a special meal for my mom tonight, since we won't be with her tomorrow...

Keep praying that I remain calm and breath... because none of the above is what TOMORROW is all about!

Happy Easter and keep smiling fellow Moms!

Happy Easter to you and your beautiful family! Love you all! (and yes, I'm doing most of that list too!)

I thought about doing the Resurrection Rolls and/or Cookies....but I'll do it next year. :-) Jack still doesn't hold still long enough to listen to one cohesive story! Maybe I'll make up a rhyme about Easter with movement? He'd do that!
