Daphne Rose

When Daphne was little people would always stop me everywhere and tell me that my toddler should be a model. She had a lot of hair for her age and it was super curly. I think that had a lot to do with the comments. But of course she was smiley and talkative to everyone too. I never followed through with it - - when I inquired about it a little I also heard that of course they needed to be able to sit still too. That wasn't exactly my Daphne Doodle. Beautiful but Busy!

Now a days, she LOVES the camera. I love that she likes to pose for me!!

FYI

The other night I made a great purchase at our local Wal Mart. Spectacular decor items are often hit and miss there, but I am glad that I keep my eyes open. If you go now, you will find a collection of all different kinds of decorative balls - I'm not sure what to call them exactly. They are in a clear plastic box and come in two color schemes. You get a lot for just 10.00. Here is what I did with them:








I think they would look pretty hanging by ribbons at varying lengths in your window. Or maybe use in your Christmas tree...or on a pretty cake stand. Really a great buy!

The "child" you don't know about.

Somedays it feels like I have an extra child around here. It definitely isn't the same responsibility, as he lives in the garage and backyard most of the time... But I still have to remember to feed him twice a day, make sure he gets water and lots of exercise and then there are the messes that are sometimes inevitable.

If you haven't guessed already it's our dog, Gus. He is the most gentle creature ever and we love him. But there are many times that it is hard keeping track of his needs too. I'm not sure what happened on this particular day (I've been saving this picture for awhile)...I'm guessing maybe he was secretly fed by a few of my little helpers.

Don't keep looking if you have a weak stomach.....

It's so true that kids need the great outdoors or at least the outdoors. In the Riddle clan our kids are so blessed to have 85 acres to roam at Grandma and Grandpa's. And I don't care a bit, you may see a little skin in these photos!!!!

My November Goal

This month I am going to try to post everyday in a month for the first time ever. I am already behind, so I did three posts just now to make up for Sunday, November 1st and Monday, November 2nd.

I'm not so good with deadlines...but I think it will be a fun challenge and no bad grades or anything if I miss a few days!
